A New Albuquerque Indian Center
Albuquerque, New Mexico
This design proposes the renovation
of the existing facilties of the primary Native American social
services organzation in Albuquerque, NM.
The program calls for additional new
facilities including an Gym/PowWow Arena, Elederly Day Care, Child
Day Care,
Transitional Elderly Housing with Ceremonial Space, and Commercial
Incubator (on Central Avenue).
Navajo and Pueblo architecture are
the primary architectural idioms used.
The Center serves individuals and
families from more than 50 tribes.
