Hupobi is a Tewa ancestral village located 2 miles north of Ojo Caliente
(Hot Eye), New Mexico, south of Mesa Vista School.
The village was abandoned around 1350.
The ruin of Howiri Pueblo is east across the Ojo river.
There are many other major Pueblo ruins up and down Ojo Valley to San Juan
Pueblo.
Posi, a ruin in the nearby village of Ojo Caliente (an important hot mineral
springs) is considered in local folklore to be the birthplace of the Aztec
Emporer Montezuma.
Site is surrounded by mulch gardens.
