Passive Solar Condominiums in Traditional Native American Taos Idiom

Taos, New Mexico

Eight passive solar condomium houses are arranged along pedestrian alleys and small plazas.
Each unit has private exterior courtyards on the ground floor and the two storey units have upper level roof decks.

The community of houses is designed in the Taos Pueblo Native American idiom.

Parking is to the North of the housing group.

Interior spaces are designed for optimal natural light and ventillation.

Xeriscape landscape reduces water consumption and utilizes plant species native to Taos and the New Mexico high chaparral.
