Puye Pueblo (pueblo ruin where the rabbits assemble or meet)

Tewa Ancestral Puebloan Culture, located on Santa Clara Pueblo, New Mexico.
The mesa top pueblo and cliff cave below the mesa were ccupied in the 1200s C.E. and abandoned by about 1600 C.E. Only the mesatop "community house" is shown in this reconstruction.

Elevation is 2154 meters (7070 feet) above sea level.

Materials: stone walls, wood log roof structure, with sapplings supporting a mud/clay roof.
